Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are durable, customized, natural-looking caps that are fitted to the tops of damaged or compromised teeth. They’re one of the most common restorative treatments we conduct, and they look and feel incredibly realistic in addition to providing ample protection to the underlying tooth. Dental crowns are the go-to restoration following root canal therapy, and they can even be used to replace missing teeth.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

We’re thrilled to offer tooth-colored fillings here in our Santa Fe dental office as an attractive alternative to the metal amalgam fillings that have been used in the past to address cavities and decay. As durable as those fillings may be, they’re inherently noticeable and unsightly due to their dark gray color, whereas the fillings we use are incredibly beautiful and natural-looking, without sacrificing anything in terms of functionality.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

A patient’s smile can be affected by numerous issues that impact its beauty as well as its functionality; if you fall into this category, rest assured that Dr. Zhang can help. Full mouth reconstruction involves a customized treatment plan that will include multiple procedures. Dr. Zhang is thrilled to partner with some of the most experienced experts in the field to ensure outstanding results for his patients that set them up for a lifetime of healthy, happy smiling.

Tooth Extractions

Tooth extractions are generally reserved as a last resort, so know that if Dr. Zhang suggests this, he’s doing so because it’s necessary and he wants to put your oral wellness first. If a tooth has become so badly damaged, decayed, or otherwise compromised that it cannot healthily remain in the mouth, it may need to be extracted and then replaced. In other cases, teeth might need to be extracted prior to orthodontic treatment.

Wisdom Tooth Extractions

Wisdom teeth, also sometimes called third molars, refer to the teeth that erupt at the very back of the mouth, often during the teenage years or early adulthood. Most patients end up needing their wisdom teeth removed, since they can become impacted or threaten the well-being of their other teeth. This process is very straightforward and something Dr. Zhang can complete here in his office, and he’ll let you know when and if yours need to come out.
