We aren’t afraid to invest in the latest dental technology to ensure that our patients receive top-tier, long-lasting results. Our digital impression system, cone beam CT scanner, and other instruments allow us to plan each detail of your treatment as precisely as possible, all while making your experience more comfortable and streamlined. We invite you to learn more about the advanced dental technology used in our Santa Fe dental office by reading below.

Digital Dental Impressions

Our 3Shape digital dental impression system completely eliminates the need for goopy putty impressions, instead relying on state-of-the-art digital technology to craft a detailed blueprint of the mouth. It uses triangles to help build incredibly accurate, 3D images of your oral cavity, which we can then send off to our dental laboratory to create perfectly fitting nightguards, crowns, bridges, and more.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Whether you’re receiving dental implants or having a tooth extracted, our Vatech A9 cone beam CT scanner allows us to effortlessly capture a complete view of your facial structure. This includes your upper and lower jawbones, facial nerves, sinuses, and other key features of your anatomy to plan precise, complication-free surgeries.

We use bright light technology, mirrors and retractors to capture high definition images of your entire arch. Our intraoral camera allows our team to view the hard-to-see areas of your mouth effortlessly and in more detail. The device is pen-shaped and it has a small camera on the end of it that’s hooked up to a chairside monitor. With it, Dr. Zhang or our hygienist can capture still images and live video footage to show you exactly what dental health issues you may face. This adds a visual component to each of our treatment plan recommendations for better education and understanding.
